Issue one introduces us to Snail, who lives in a tree with his best friend, Tom the Bug. We also meet Eppie - a fairy-like creature, and the object of Tom's affections.

Also includes the story "Count Stinkenpuss", in which the title character has his cat stolen and flies to Mount Kilimanjaro in a bid to rescue him.
